27 Jun

Nora Ephron, a famous screenwriter and director, died last night surrounded by relatives at a New York hospital, where she was undergoing treatment for acute myeloid leukemia. Most of her films were romantic comedies that featured strong women which took her to the top of the ranks in an industry mostly dominated by men. Her films included box office hits such as “When Harry Met Sally” and “Sleepless in Seattle.” She also wrote “Julie & Julia” which earned Meryl Streep a best actress Oscar nomination in 2010. She always used comedy in her works because she was a big believer that there was alway something funny to be found in even the worst things that happen to you. It’s sad to see such a great and talented woman leave the hollywood industry. Read more about Nora here.
